Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev participated in the Davos World Economic Forum the other day. Within the framework of the conference, Aliyev had several meetings with leaders and high-ranking officials of various international organizations and different countries, including the Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović, the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic, with whom he discussed the path to the South Caucasus. the current situation, the process of “regulating” relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the current situation around the Berdzor Corridor, was presented from the Azerbaijani narrative.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Eric Rondolat, CEO of Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) in Davos. Eric Rondolat informed Aliyev about the progress and prospects of the projects implemented in Azerbaijan, including the Armenian territories temporarily occupied by Azerbaijan in Shushi and Akna. Eric Rondolat also informed Aliyev about the lighting of the TV tower in Shushi.
Aliyev also met with the vice president of “The CISCO” organization. Aliyev noted the successful implementation of the “Smart City” and “Smart Village” projects in the Kovsakan section of the Kashatagh region of Artsakh, temporarily occupied by Azerbaijan, and said that these works are also planned to be implemented in other Armenian territories occupied by Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani side has recently started to actively spread the thesis that the Armenian side has allegedly been using the Berdzor road for the transportation of mines, ammunition, and military personnel for more than two years. The President of Azerbaijan also spoke about this during the meeting with the President of Lithuania.
As we can see, the enemy is trying in every possible way, by carrying out one or another work in Artsakh, to prepare the ground for the complete Turkification of Artsakh. And next to the thesis of the so-called “environmental protection” action of Azerbaijan, the fictitious thesis of “moving mines” appears, which is also an attempt to legitimize the closing of the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia.
The actions of the RA de-facto authorities are the exact opposite of this. The latter, having every tool and a legitimate right to stop the blockade of Artsakh, do not take any steps in that direction, except for desperate calls. What significant actions are the de facto authorities taking to prevent the depopulation of Artsakh… None.
