“First Channel” reports that more than 1,000 tickets for the “Junior Eurovision” contest were allocated to children from border settlements to make them participate in this pan-European holiday.
We present the losses of the settlements that became “border” as a result of the incompetence and anti-national activities of the de facto RA authorities during the large-scale war unleashed by Azerbaijan in September of this year, which are being tried to be compensated with the “Eurovision” ticket.
⦁ On September 13-15, at least 7,600 people, including 1,437 children, were displaced from Gegharkunik, Syunik, and Vayots Dzor marzes.
⦁ 4 civilians were killed, and 6 people were injured.
⦁ Azerbaijan’s armed forces shelled 36 settlements, including Goris, Sisian, Kapan, Jermuk, Vardenis, Tegh, and Geghamasar communities.
⦁ In total, 192 residential houses, 3 hotels, 2 schools, 1 medical facility, 1 banquet hall, and 4 stables were partially or destroyed.
⦁ As a result of Azerbaijan’s aggression, more than 30 thousand children in Armenia could not attend schools and kindergartens. Serious problems have also arisen in out-of-school educational institutions, colleges, schools, etc.
⦁ 172 schools and 69 kindergartens were targeted by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
⦁ 7 electrical network facilities, 5 water supply facilities, 3 gas pipelines, 1 bridge, 2 highways, and 1 street were damaged. 2 ambulances and 4 private cars were hit.
It is necessary to note that the inhabitants of the above-mentioned settlements, who appeared in the border zone due to the fault of the de facto authorities, have returned, but not completely: taking into account the constant threat of military aggression by Azerbaijan and the provocations that occur almost every day, there is a risk of gradual depopulation of these settlements. The normal life of these settlements has been disturbed, in some places, for example, in Jermuk, residents are under the surveillance of Azerbaijanis, agricultural work has also been disrupted, and peasants working in the fields come under Azerbaijani fire. Residents of border settlements do not have any guarantee of safety, even for children it is no longer safe to go to school.
Instead of solving the existing problems, equipping the positions properly, strengthening the defense infrastructures, and expelling the Azerbaijani aggressors from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, the de facto authorities have not only managed to force the residents to accept the fact that they will no longer be in the border zone, but they are also trying to ensure security guarantees and a peaceful childhood for children. compensate with a “Eurovision” ticket.
According to the canons of classical populism, the de facto authorities, by really undermining all security systems and playing with the fate of thousands of people, try to persuade people with attractive packaging and convince them that their losses are not so great and are completely compensable. In short, they take ten for giving one.
