On August 5, Andranik Chaushyan from Aghavnoi village reported that they were given time until August 25 to leave the village. According to the mayor of Berdzor, Narek Aleksanyan, the same date has been set for the evacuation of Berdzor.
Artsakh Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Minister Hayk Khanumyan informed the latter about the deadlines.”For so long they did not support us, they did not bring troops. If they bring weapons to the people, make them strong, all of them are fighters. No one wants to leave their house,” Chaushyan said.
Let’s remind that the city of Berdzor and the area around it, known as “Lachin Corridor”, is the vital road connecting the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh. In addition, this will also create a humanitarian crisis for over 1,000 people who will have to leave their homes. And all the infrastructures connecting the Republic of Armenia to Artsakh (electrical and other cables, gas pipelines, etc.) will be under the full control of Azerbaijan.
