Azerbaijan is not alone

On August 8, the 13th conference of Turkish ambassadors was held in Ankara, in which Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov from Azerbaijan participated.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu noted: “We are using the favorable conditions created by Azerbaijan’s victory in the civil war to make peace and stability in the region lasting. Our mutually appointed special representatives with Armenia continue negotiations. Of course, we do not consider this process separately from the ongoing process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the settlement and cooperation that is our ultimate goal in the entire region… Undoubtedly, our solidarity with Azerbaijan will continue to strengthen in this process.Let friends and enemies alike know that Azerbaijan is never alone.”

Referring to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border tension as a result of Azerbaijan’s aggression in recent days, M. Cavusoglu accused Armenia and called: “We again warn Armenia to refrain from provocations.”

After the start of the Armenian-Turkish settlement negotiations, the “reminder” of concerted action and consultation with Azerbaijan runs through all the official statements of Turkey. Basically, this means that the process of settlement without preconditions is actually on Turkish-Azerbaijani terms, and Turkey clearly implies that the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations is possible only in case of signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
